    Eric,

I just started a beginners strength training program 2-3 months ago. I do your mobility drills from Magnificent Mobility as well as regular foam roller work. The program is from Mark Rippetoes Starting Strength book.

About 3-4 weeks ago I found that my left shoulder makes a clicking noise that occurs just directly above the collar bone (on left side) when I shrug my shoulders in a circular motion (I move shoulders circular with arms down by the side, and the movement starts by going forward first).

It happens when the circular motion of the shoulder passes the bottom point. This only occurs on my left shoulder.

There is no pain but I do feel a little tense/tightness sometimes between the area just above the upper part of the chest and that collar bone area. I am worried this might become serious and suspect maybe the Overhead press is the problem. Do you have any idea what this could be? Also, I have recently purchased the Inside-Out DVD by Mike Robertson. I was hoping it could fix the problem but I am not sure. What do you think? Also, is your Optimal Shoulder Performance designed to target issues like this?

Thanks for taking the time to read the post, I really appreciate it.

Is the OSP DVD suitable for members of general population to benefit from please?

Reason I ask is that, not being p/t trained etc and only training fo fun, I’d be concerned about interpreting stuff wrongly/opening up a can of worms etc?

Thanks in hope of a response.
