What your thoughts/reasoning on using a trap bar vs straight bar DL when going heavy. I read Jason Ferruggia’s article http://jasonferruggia.com/are-trap-bar-deadlifts-safer-than-straight-bar-deadlifts/ a couple days ago and he was saying that when you go heavy, the trap bar has more capability to sway forward or backward thus potentiallly causing injury. Would you agree with this and there is a contraindication stopping AJ from straight baring? Or would you say that it is alright to use heavy trap bar DL’s?
Also would you have some cues to help stop the trap bay swaying?
Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the topic 🙂
